Fantastic elephant gathering in Minneriya National Park. We took a half-day safari in Minneriya and saw around 60-70 elephants! The best option is the afternoon when the elephants leave the forest and go to graze, drink and bathe in Minneriya Tank waters. Our driver was excellent, he looked out for the elephants in different spots and placed the car in such a way that we could have perfect photo opportunities. The most magical moment was at the end of the day when we saw a group of 25 elephants calmly grazing close to the tank. Well, watching a 2-month-old calf was also an amazing moment. We had a fantastic time! Thank You.

We had a great safari with Adventure jeep safari Sigiriya. They arranged it all and we arrived at the jeep with our driver Amila. He was great and taught us so much about the park and elephants, you could see he loved his job. Ask for Amila if can. I 100% recommend and also recommend Minnariya national park we wanted to see elephants and we saw SO many so close too, a great day 🙌🏼

Brilliant day!!! We were collected from our hotel in Kandalama and headed to Sigiriya Rock, then onto the best local restaurant for lunch, before heading into Kaudulla National Park as Minneriya Park is closed at this time due to high waters. We had a few hours on safari and saw at least 40 elephants, bathing, eating, resting and even chasing our jeep, but our guide Sudee was brilliant and got us away quickly and safely! Suede was a brilliant guide and couldn’t do enough to help us. He took us to a tea house on the way home, a sapphire shop, and a very interesting herb and spice garden! I have been on lots of excursions all over the world but this was easily up there with the best, the views and the guidance from Sudee were outstanding.
